Marriage Preparation, Altar Serversdeaconkevinspxsa.orgDeacon Kevin was ordained to the Permanent Diaconate on June 5, 2021 at St Mark’s the Evangelist Church in San Antonio. He began and continues his ministry at St Pius X. Kevin and his wife, Kim, have been happily married for over 40 years, having met each other in high school. They were married at Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Merritt Island, Florida. They have three daughters (Elizabeth (husband Jack), Emily and Sarah) and one son (David). Deacon Kevin is a retired Army Medical Service Corps Officer and college professor, having served in faculty positions at Baylor University and the University of the Incarnate Word as a Professor of Health Administration. Kim and Kevin have been blessed to be members of the St Pius X community since 2001. Having moved extensively during their military career, St Pius X parish was their first real “home” parish. They have been involved in many different parish ministries over the years, as well as being part of the St Pius X School, as all four of their children attended the school from kindergarten through 8th grade. As a true deacon couple, they share the marriage formation ministry at St. Pius X, preparing many couples for their sacramental life together. Deacon Kevin currently serves as the Pastoral Associate for St Pius X parish and is active in his diaconal ministry.
